Feng
Shui Tips - Practical Advice
Where
to Begin Applying Feng Shui
Feng
shui advice and tips range from the practical and useful to the
esoteric and misunderstood. If you haven't already read Home Feng Shui
read it now so that you fully understand what the key areas
of the home are. On that page you will find tips on how to improve the
key areas.
The
first feng shui recommendations is to clear up your clutter. Energy
does not
circulate well in a living space that is over crowded with stuff. In
fact, I strongly advise you to call a space organizer before you have a
feng shui consultation if accumulation is a problem for you. Feng shui
aims to master the environment not be subject to it.
Do
your best to clear up the clutter so that your living space is not
reinforcing a message that your life is overwhelming and unmanageable.
Do feng shui remedies really work?
I
consider any improvement to your home or property a feng shui remedy,
cure or adjustment. You may not consider fixing a leaky faucet or
replacing all the windows in your house a feng shui remedy, but you are
enhancing the living space and thereby improving the feng shui. Water
correlates to money in feng shui and a leaky faucet is seen as "money
leaking". Windows help to contain and move energy and are often
correlated to one's authority.
There is a saying in feng shui, "An ounce can move a thousand
pounds." Any change to the design concept, landscaping, floor plan or
art work will have an impact on the home's balance and harmony.
The growing popularity of feng shui in the West has created a lot of
misinformation about what feng
shui remedies
are and how they are used.
