North Life Aspiration

Feng Shui Career
The feng shui career life aspiration resides in the north area of the home or office. The element is water, the colors are blue and black, and the season of winter are associated with this life area. Water is represented in the environment by movement-shapes that are curvy and irregular and reflective surfaces.

To represent water in the environment you can place artwork that depicts movement, or an object which has continual movement, such as a pendulum clock to enhance the north. (See the guidelines on page 105 of The Feng Shui Factor for placing fountains and other water features).

The tortoise is a symbol for the north; you can place a metal tortoise with it's back to the north to support your career. The hard shell of the tortoise is understood to offer rear support and buffer you from competitive pressures.

A crystal globe placed on your desk signifies global connections.

Your office will be enhanced by putting your accreditations, degrees, business cards and vision for your career on the north wall.

The Vision that you glorify in your mind, the Ideal that you enthrone in your heart: this you will build your life by, this you will become. James Allen quoted text

Feng Shui Tip:  Check the north area of your home or business for anything in disrepair symbolizing a broken down career. If your home needs repairs, start your feng shui enhancements by fixing and updating - putting the value back into your home. These kinds of improvements will make your home's feng shui stronger. A house in disrepair certainly weakens the feng shui.
