The Commanding Position

The commanding position is located in the rear of the home or business. The position in the rear is understood to have the complete over site of the property. The idea is that, nothing can be going on behind your back.

The bedroom or office in this location will naturally support parental and managerial authority.

An individual room has it's own position of power, which is the location furthest from the door or entrance, situated with your back towards a solid wall in full view of the door.

In feng shui placement, this is considered the optimum location for your bed or desk. This arrangement is conducive for restful sleep and, if you are working, it supports concentration and productivity.

Whether you are aware of it or not there is a psychological disadvantage to having your back to any door or entrance. During my consultations, I can immediately detect if a person is productive in their work or study space by looking at how the furniture is arranged.

You can also benefit from this feng shui position in a conference or meeting room. When entering a meeting room look for the seats that meet the criteria I've described above.

You can learn more about locations of power and bedroom feng shui from The Feng Shui Factor.
