Expert Bedroom Feng Shui
Optimum feng shui begins with positioning the bed in the commanding position. This area of the room will offer the most strength and support.
The photographs below depict before and after pictures of a master suite where a ceiling beam dominates the sleeping area. In the before picture, the beam weakens the commanding position and limits where the bed can be positioned.
The decision was made to remodel the ceiling so that the beam
would no longer be visible and the bed could be located in the
commanding position.
The bed and nightstands are now located in the commanding position creating a strong, supportive and restful atmosphere. The occupants will be in full view of the entrance to their room and the solid wall behind the bed further adds to their stability.
